SocialKit

SocialKit

A unified social media data and video analysis API for developers and AI agents. Extracts transcripts, AI summaries, comments, stats, channel data, and downloadable files from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, and LinkedIn. Coverage includes video transcripts (2 credits/started minute), AI summaries (2 credits/request), comments/search/listings (1 credit per 50 results for most platforms, 1 per 20 for Instagram), and downloads (1 credit/started minute up to 480p, 4 credits for 720p/1080p). Failed requests cost 0 credits. Offers Agent Skills (npx skills add SocialKit-API/skills --all) for Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex, with MCP optional. Note: developer/agent tool, not an end-user app; platform coverage varies—Instagram search returns only one batch of up to 12 reels with no pagination, LinkedIn only supports publicly accessible profiles, and Facebook lacks bulk/download endpoints. Rate limits scale with effective credit allowance (40 req/min below 2,000 credits up to 600 req/min above 50,000). Subscription plan pricing is not fully documented in the API docs; verify on the official site. Not to be confused with socialk.it, a separate social media scheduling product.

Quiki

Quiki

An AI video intelligence workspace for organizing and searching saved short-form content. Paste a TikTok, YouTube, or Instagram Reel link (or bulk import your saved lists), and Quiki scans the video to generate an AI summary, extract keywords, and auto-file it into one of 47 smart folders. Paid tiers add full transcript search (find a video by a phrase spoken in it), custom notes and tags, and deeper analysis. Available on web, iPhone, Android (via share sheet), and Chrome extension. Swipe Mode turns your library into a full-screen feed. Pricing: Free (100 recent videos, limited daily scans), Play $4.99/mo (1,000 videos, 100 scans/day, bulk import), Pro $29.99/mo (10,000 videos, 1,000 scans/day, notes), Agency $249.99/mo (deep multimodal analysis, transcript search, unlimited storage). Note: this is an organizer/searcher, not a video generator or social publisher; Instagram scanning requires paid credits; company founded 2025 in the UK; no verified user reviews on Capterra as of listing; not to be confused with the AI notetaker app or the Go wiki engine.

YouTube Transcript Extractor

YouTube Transcript Extractor

What the extractor does

KnowledgePilot’s YouTube Transcript Extractor is designed for a focused workflow: provide one YouTube watch or share link, prepare the video, review the estimated cost, complete the security check, and extract the available spoken text. The result opens in a scrollable viewer where you can read, copy, and download retained files.

The central distinction is important. This is an extraction and formatting tool, not a summarizer or rewriting assistant. The source states that transcript extraction and file formatting do not use an LLM to summarize or rewrite the words. That makes it suitable when the goal is to preserve the transcript obtained from the video rather than produce a shorter interpretation.

A practical workflow

For research, study, or editorial work, start with a video that you can open and play. Paste its URL and choose Prepare video. The service checks source availability before processing, but a valid link does not guarantee that spoken text can be obtained. After reviewing the estimate, confirm extraction and inspect the returned transcript before downloading it.

TXT is the simplest option for reading, searching, and pasting into notes. Markdown retains the saved Markdown view and available timestamps. JSON is more appropriate when you need transcript segments and timing information for further processing. If usable timing is retained from the source, SRT and VTT provide subtitle-oriented files. A ZIP download keeps the available transcript and subtitle files together with a manifest.

Copy behavior also matters. Selecting TXT in the viewer and choosing Copy copies the plain transcript without timestamp badges or subtitle cue numbers. Selecting another retained file changes what is copied, which gives you a way to preserve timing lines when needed.

Where it fits

A student could extract a lecture transcript, read it beside the recording, and save a TXT copy for notes. A researcher could retain JSON or Markdown for later reference. An editor reviewing an interview might use the transcript to locate passages before checking the original audio. Subtitle workflows can use SRT or VTT when the source supplies usable start and end times.

The tool processes one supplied source at a time. It does not search YouTube across channels or process a playlist in bulk, so it is better suited to deliberate, individual video review than large-scale collection.

Cost and evidence checks

Each extraction costs 4 credits, including available transcript downloads. Copying or downloading a completed result does not trigger another extraction charge. The pricing page states that users can pay through a one-time credit top-up or a monthly KnowledgePilot plan, and that a subscription is not required. Trial and paid-plan details are subject to the supplied pricing page, so verify the current account terms before planning a recurring workflow.

Limitations to plan around

Not every YouTube video has usable captions or transcription data. Private, restricted, or unavailable videos may fail, and the service cannot make inaccessible speech available from a URL alone. Timing is retained only when the source provides usable timing; the tool does not invent timestamps.

Transcript quality also requires review. Names, numbers, and technical terms can be misheard, and missing-content notices should be treated seriously. For quotations, compare important passages against the audio and retain the original video link with the downloaded file. The extractor can reduce copying and formatting work, but it does not replace source verification.
